The Women’s and Gender program at Keene State College

is looking for an adjunct for Spring 2026.

The adjunct faculty will teach a course in Women’s and Gender Studies. This course will be held in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 – 11:45 PM starting on January 20, 2026, to May 2026.Β The WGS program is committed to providing additional support to the adjunct hired in this position, including mentoring, letters of recommendation, and peer observation of teaching, in addition to other possible support for professional development.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • The adjunct faculty will teach a 101-level course, Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies.

  • A course syllabus is available to use as is or to use as a template; the instructor has discretion and support in further developing the syllabus.

  • The expectation is that the content will review historical accounts of diverse women’s and LGBTQ+ movements under the frames of waves of feminisms, social activists and be grounded in intersectionality as an analytic.

Minimum Acceptable Education and Experience:

  • Women’s and Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary field, and all disciplines interact with gender studies.Β 

  • M.A. on social sciences fields or graduate certificate in Women’s/Gender Studies with a strong emphasis on feminist intersectional analysis in their research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate teaching experience or interaction is preferred.

Compensation Pay Range:

$$800/credit or $840/credit for those with terminal degrees
