DNV is seeking a dynamic, experienced and proven DEI Lead to support our North America Regional Program and initiatives.Β 

This position will be based in our Houston, Texas office, with a hybrid work arrangement. Some domestic and international travel is expected.Β  Β 

What You'll do

Align with Global Strategy: Collaborate closely with DNV’s β€˜Global DEI Lead’ to ensure alignment with the Global Policy and Program/Strategy and local needsΒ 

Program Management: Provide governance and support for the North America Program, including overseeing budget and compliance aspectsΒ 

Strategic Integration: Work with senior business leaders in the Region to integrate principles into their annual strategy, goals and supporting actionsΒ 

Set Goals and Metrics: Partner with Region Senior Leadership to establish goals and key performance indicators, assessing program progress annuallyΒ 

Promote Awareness: Foster organizational commitment and accountability for program initiativesΒ 

Provide Expertise: Offer direction, expertise, and training on related topicsΒ 

Project Management: Lead and manage agreed projects to drive successful outcomes using best project management practicesΒ 

Inclusive Communication: Develop and maintain a communication plan that includes all stakeholders and supported groupsΒ 

Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with local laws and requirements, especially those for US Federal Contractors, including regulatory reporting managementΒ 

Public Representation: Represent DNV at internal and external speaking events, public panels, and on social mediaΒ 

Research and Development: Investigate current and future needs and trends to shape business and competency developmentΒ

Qualifications

What is requiredΒ 

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in related field; Master’s degree preferredΒ 
  • Professional Diversity Equity and Inclusion related certification preferredΒ 
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience working within medium/large organizations in North AmericaΒ 
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a medium to large company; multi-national company preferredΒ 
  • At least 3 years of DEI related leadership and operational experienceΒ 
  • Strategic and Global Mindset: Skilled in turning complex goals into relevant actions for local leadershipΒ 
  • High Emotional Intelligence: Capable of connecting on an individual level with empathy and understandingΒ 
  • Bridge Builder: Able to meet groups where they are and align them with the broader strategyΒ 
  • Cultural Competency: Adept at interacting respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectivesΒ 
  • Facilitation Skills: Proficient in leading group workshops, training sessions, and discussionsΒ 
  • Adaptable and Agile: Committed to continuous learning and quick to adapt to changing circumstancesΒ 
  • Operational Compliance Proficiency: Knowledgeable in all relevant compliance aspects
  • Project/Program Management: Strong skills in managing projects and programs effectivelyΒ 
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skillsΒ
