β’Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Rivier Student Multicultural Student Organization (MSO).
β’Plan, implement, and assess annual cultural and educational programs, including monthly themed celebrations.
β’Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver high-impact learning experiences around diversity, equity, and belonging.
β’Serve as a liaison to the Student Experience Division, identifying and addressing climate issues affecting student life.
β’Support Orientation, Welcome Week and campus wide programs that enhance underrepresented student engagement.
β’Contribute to the University's DEI strategic initiatives and actively participate in the Diversity Council.
β’Develop and implement assessment tools to measure the impact of diversity and inclusion initiatives, student engagement, and learning outcomes.
β’Hire, train, and supervise staff, managing the department's operating budget.
β’Represent the department on institutional committees and perform other duties as assigned.
β’Strong interpersonal skills with ability to advocate for and support the academic, personal and professional goals of underrepresented populations.
β’Possess a working knowledge of key issues and best practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion, multiculturalism, and social justice.
β’Experience with program development, implementation, and assessment.
β’Ability to work effectively with all University constituents and represent the University to external organizations.
β’Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
β’Flexibility and adaptability in an emerging and changing environment.
β’While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
β’This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
