The Family Court of St. Louis County is hiring for aΒ Domestic Violence Court Grant CoordinatorΒ in the Domestic Relations Department.

$25.00 per hour. Part-time (25 Hours Per Week). This position is eligible for the 10% addition to pay effective January 12, 2020.

This position is contingent on continued federal grant funding. Β The current grant cycle expires on September 30th, 2027.

This is a non-merit position. Recruitment for this position will be handled by the Family Court of St. Louis County.Position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.

An employee in this job class and position performs work of marked difficulty in assisting with the coordination and execution of activities required under the Department of Justice (DOJ)/Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Domestic Violence Mentor Court Technical Assistance grant awarded to the St. Louis County Domestic Violence (DV) Court.

Examples of Duties

Essential job functions will require the incumbent to participate in meetings, planning sessions, trainings and events pertaining to grant activities and requirements; assist the DV Court Manager and other DV Court staff in organizing, planning, and facilitating grant-required Peer-to-Peer Site Visits and Open House events; coordinate with DV Court judiciary to facilitate observations of courtroom proceedings and processes for shadowing and mentoring opportunities during Peer-to-Peer Site Visits and Open House events; work with the DV Court Manager and other DV Court staff in the development of presentation formats and materials for Peer-to-Peer Site Visits and Open House events; collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to secure their assistance with and participation in various grant activities; collaborate with OVW technical assistance providers; maintain all grant data and ensure compliance with all grant requirements; report compliance measures to DOJ/OVW as needed; and, attend and complete a minimum of 7 hours of relevant, approved training per merit year in order to enhance professional development. This position may require some travel.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Considerable knowledge of the mission and operations of the St. Louis County DV Court.Β 
  • Previous experience with project coordination.Β 
  • Previous experience with grant coordination, grant management, and/or grant oversight. Β  Β 
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and tactfully, both orally and in writing.Β 
  • Ability to work independently and possess excellent organizational skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related social/behavioral science is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Β  Previous experience coordinating projects and/or programs preferred. Β Must have experience with grant management, ideally some with federal funding.

Additional Information

All applicants conditionally offered a permanent part-time, full-time, term or on-call position will be required to submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory. The cost of screening will be paid by the County. Applicants will also be required to submit to an extensive background and criminal record check.
