As an Executive Director, Head of Housing Access and Affordability in Global Philanthropy, you will lead a high-impact portfolio focused on preserving and expanding housing affordability and helping more people access the benefits of homeownership. You will lead the firm’s philanthropy strategy to preserve and expand housing affordability by increasing housing supply for renters and homeowners, and expanding access to sustainable homeownership opportunities. You will manage a team that designs and executes major initiatives and partners with government, philanthropic, nonprofit, corporate, industry and community leaders to deliver innovative solutions at scale. Your responsibilities include strategy development and analysis, strategic grantmaking and program design, and thought leadership across a large, multifaceted organization. You’ll collaborate with JPMorgan Chase’s most senior executives to evaluate housing trends and policies, assess implications for the firm and the communities we serve, and shape strategies that create value for JPMorgan Chase customers and society.

The Corporate Responsibility team at JPMorgan Chase advances a stronger, more inclusive economy and society for clients, customers, and communities globally. The Global Philanthropy team consists of Employee Engagement & Volunteerism, Impact Finance, and grantmaking teams at the national and local levels. The Housing Access and Affordability team’s core functions are to develop and execute housing strategies, evaluate and manage grant portfolios, and provide thought leadership on housing supply and homeownership issues.

Job responsibilities:

  • Design and lead major initiatives that expand access to capital, increase the efficiency and scale of housing supply solutions, and improve homeownership outcomes through homebuyer readiness and generational wealth preservation
  • Manage a high-performing team of program officers and associates
  • Collaborate with business leaders to design, evaluate, and lead execution of strategic housing initiatives and identify where JPMC business products and services can drive complementary community impactΒ 
  • Partner with Corporate Responsibility leaders and government agencies, industry leaders, and nonprofit organizations to inform public policies that drive housing access and affordability
  • Serve as lead relationship manager with key external partners and leaders across the firmΒ 
  • Ensure all grants and partnerships are executed in accordance with policies, controls, and Corporate Responsibility procedures
  • Monitor external environment for important economic trends, competitive developments, and potential partnership opportunities; share perspectives with key line of business partners
  • Represent the firm as a thought leader on issues such as housing affordability, access to capital, and homebuyer education at internal and external conferences, events, and forums

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15+ years of experience in affordable housing solutions and running large-scale initiatives
  • Experience with management of teams, with an innate interest in mentorship and helping others develop their career
  • Experience in serving as a thought leader in housing affordability policies and issues
  • Deep understanding of bank products and services that drive housing access and affordability
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion to build a more affordable and equitable housing market
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
  • A track record of successfully executed partnerships in housing affordability
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to achieve results within demanding timelines
  • Ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the company and lead through influence
