Who we are looking for:
Conquer Cancerยฎ, the ASCO Foundation, has a great opportunity for a Gift Officer, Philanthropy, to help strengthen and expand our mid-level individual giving program. The Gift Officer will play a key part in building a sustainable donor pipeline by engaging supporters at the $5,000 - $24,999 level and identifying future major and planned gift opportunities.Responsibilitiesย
Manages a portfolio of >200 major gift donors and prospective donors with giving of $5,000-$24,999 annually, matching philanthropic priorities with Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation funding prioritiesย
Through email, phone, virtual, and some in-person meetings, qualifyย mid-levelย major gift prospects to add to portfolio, or refer to other annual, major, or planned giving officersย
Sets and adheres to an aggressive communication strategy with prospects and existing donors to meet ever-increasing fundraisingย goalsย ย ย ย
Under the direction of Division Director, Individual Giving, prepares, implements, and evaluates an annual plan, including measurable goals and specific initiativesย
Identifies, cultivates,ย solicits, negotiates, and stewards individual giftsย utilizingย moves management and cultivation plansย
Tracks donor and prospect information and communication in CRMย
Participates in prospect strategy meetings, discusses strategies involving natural partners, acknowledges donor philanthropicย objectives, and prepares donor-centric proposals involving mid-level giving solutionsย
Collaboratesย with colleagues in communications, annual giving, corporate relations, foundationย relationsย and other departments to ensure the success of individual gifts, and prioritize services for internal and external contactsย in a timely mannerย
Attends and follows-up for select meetings with leaders of Philanthropy, and key volunteers; and performs other related duties andย participatesย in special projects as assignedย
Stay current on individual giving and industry trends and best practices to inform prospect and donor strategyโฏโฏย

Required Education and Experienceย
Bachelorโs degree or equivalentย related workย experienceย
5 yearsย of direct experience fundraising for non-profit orย in a health care settingโฏย
Demonstrated success cultivating andย maintainingย multiple donor relationships,ย prospectingย and pipeline building, and converting prospects to donorsย ย
Proficiencyย in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlookโฏย
Experience using industry-based software/client management databases (i.e.ย Raiserโs Edge, Salesforce,ย StratusLive)โฏย

Preferred Education and Experienceย
4+ years of progressively responsible experience withย individualย givingย relationshipย managementโฏย
