Position Summary:

This position works within the Fundraising department. This department is responsible for Individual Giving that supports the Foodbank for NYC. This is a project-based research heavy role. In order to support these tasks, this position will:

β€’ Organize and evaluate incoming individual donors (500+), delegating to appropriate fundraisers and ensuring alignment with fundraising priorities.
β€’ Identify and qualify new prospective donors through initial background qualification and outreach, including calls, emails, and event invitations to assess interest and engagement potential.
β€’ Conduct in-depth profiles on principal and major gift level current prospects that will allow for enhanced strategy and donor experiences.
β€’ Represent Food Bank and its programs accurately when speaking with donors, volunteers, and colleagues as needed at team events, volunteer opportunities, and organization-wide events.
β€’ Contribute to organizational and departmental culture by working with integrity, maintaining a solutions-oriented approach, and adjusting research to best serve Food Bank’s mission and major gift officers.
β€’ Help secure, maintain and enter information in Raiser’s Edge NXT
β€’ A commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment is required.

Skills:
β€’ Bachelor’s degree complete or in progress- preferred Jr. or Sr.
β€’ Commitment to the mission and values of Food Bank For New York City
β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skill
β€’ Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
β€’ Ability to produce under deadlines and work independently and effectively.
β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office. CRM databases (preferably Raiser’s Edge, or Salesforce) is a plus
β€’ Experience with prospect qualification platforms like Inside Philanthropy, DonorSearch, iWave, and LexisNexis (would be preferred)
