Our exceptional health center staff drives our mission forward by upholding our acclaimed customer service & confidentiality standards, and working to create a safe, judgement-free space for anyone seeking Planned Parenthood services. ย  About our Philanthropy Officer position The Philanthropy Officer (Anchorage, AK-based) will play a pivotal role in securing essential funding for Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawaiโ€™i, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky (PPGNHAIK) during our comprehensive campaign by developing and nurturing relationships with major donors and prospects. What will you be doing! This positionย is responsible forย cultivating,ย soliciting, and stewarding donations to support PPGNHAIK's mission and programs, as well as forย our sister organization Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates (C4).ย Theย Philanthropy Officer will actively manage a portfolio of key donorsย toย helpย achieveย our teamโ€™s fundraising goals. This position requires collaboration with other Philanthropy Officers, department leadership, and cross-department teams.ย  Manage and Grow a Donor Portfolio: Oversee a portfolio of 60-75 managed donors with giving levels typically $2.5K-$10K. Execute personalized cultivation plans for each donor that lead to philanthropy, prioritizing in-person engagement. Gift Solicitation and Stewardship:ย Develop and implementย tailored strategies toย solicitย giftsย face-to-faceย as well asย express gratitudeย and impactย in creative ways.ย  ยท Prospect Identification and Qualification: Work closely with internal teams to identify major donor prospects and qualify them through rapid-cycle qualification conversations (phone and in-person). Fundraising Events and Engagement: Recruit high-value guests for AK-based fundraising events and engagement activities. External Representation and Advocacy:ย Representย PPGNHAIK at external events and meetings whenย appropriate, acting as an ambassador for the organization. Stay informed on current local and national issues related to PPGNHAIKโ€™s mission to speak knowledgeably on behalf of the organization.ย  ย Data and Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and progress toward KPIs and goals in the department's database. ย Participate in State-Based Cohort: Take an active role in PPGNHAIKโ€™s Alaska cohort - a cross-org group that works together to support local fundraising and community engagement. ยทContinuous Learning: Participate in relevant training to enhance job knowledge and stay informed about trends in philanthropy, major giving, and nonprofit fundraising. Other duties as assigned to support the growth and success of PPGNHAIKโ€™s fundraising initiatives. Experience:ย  2-3ย yearsโ€™ experience working as a frontline fundraiser (includingย someย major donor cultivation) in a professional nonprofit fundraising environment.โ€ฏโ€ฏย  Experience driving aย metrics-based approach to fundraising.ย ย ย  ย  Skills: Track record of managing a major donor portfolio and successfully soliciting gifts face-to-face. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and internal stakeholders. Ability to utilize fundraising databases; Raiser's Edge experience preferred. Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team; Ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across the organization. Ability to assess priorities and manage a variety of competing tasks in a time-sensitive environment and to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality. Entrepreneurial drive. Excel, Word, Outlook required. Ability to travel within the state required Ability to work occasional nights and weekends ย  Education Associates degree or above preferred. License:ย ย  Noneย required.ย ย  Certification:ย ย  CFRE or equivalent credentials a plus.ย  ย  Salary Range: PART-TIME 25HRS WEEKLY $60,000-$65,000 annually for 0.67 FTE, depending on experience and qualifications.
