Job Description

Leave It Better Than You Found It

At Nordstrom, that's not just a guiding principle — it's how we show up for the communities where we live and work. Our Social Impact team is at the heart of that commitment, driving meaningful, lasting change through programs that provide basic needs for families and create pathways to economic opportunity through workforce development, mentorship, scholarships, and grants.

We're looking for a Program Manager, Social Impact & Philanthropy to help us go deeper - someone who brings strategic thinking, operational excellence, and genuine passion for community impact to everything they do.

What You'll Do

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You'll be a key driver of how Nordstrom shows up for our communities — managing the programs, partnerships, and platforms that bring our Social Impact philosophy to life.

Program & Campaign Management

  • Own the end-to-end operations of cause marketing campaigns, corporate partnerships, and our Nordstrom Cares (Benevity) employee giving platform
  • Provide holistic support for Social Impact programming - from grantmaking and community impact to employee giving and matching gift programs -across strategy, innovation, and day-to-day execution

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

  • Champion Social Impact storytelling internally and externally, educating and inspiring employees, shareholders, grantees, and nonprofit partners
  • Build and nurture collaborative relationships across the company, including with Talent Enablement & Culture, ESG, PR, Internal Communications, Finance, Legal, Merchandising, and employee resource groups
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the Giving and Nordstrom Cares inboxes, delivering outstanding service to every internal and external inquiry

Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage cross-functional priorities and strategies to exceed company and department goals
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in Social Impact and philanthropy, bringing fresh thinking and industry best practices to the team
  • Lead impact reporting and drive the metrics and insights that demonstrate our progress and sharpen our strategy

What You Bring

You're motivated, collaborative, and deeply committed to making a difference-  and you bring the skills and experience to back it up.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience in program management, community engagement, corporate philanthropy, or social impact.
  • 5–6 years of program management experience, ideally with a focus on social impact or community investment; nonprofit or school district experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional work, manage partners, and drive decisions with clarity and confidence
  • Strong strategic thinking skills-  you can synthesize complex information and translate it into compelling, actionable plans
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach to everything you do
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Benevity, Coupa, Workiva, or Workfront is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI tools is a plus

This role is hybrid with four days onsite in Seattle, WA.
