Job Summary:
The Senior Grant Coordinator supports disaster recovery and other government programs by performing real-time review and analysis of documentation required by state and federal regulations and program policies. This role evaluates funding requests, analyzes unmet needs, and contributes to comprehensive spending plans aligned to short- and long-term recovery objectives. Responsibilities include improving intake and review workflows, preparing training and technical assistance for funded recipients, and producing real-time reporting to support transparency and accountability. The position performs day-to-day oversight and compliance analysis procedures, supports internal control practices to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse, and assists with responses to state and federal monitoring activities.
Job Duties:
โขย ย ย ย Reviews and analyzes funding requests and supporting documentation for state and federal grant compliance
โขย ย ย ย Manages intake workflows and tracks request status, deficiencies, and resolution timelines
โขย ย ย ย Develops recommendations that prioritize funding based on unmet needs and program objectives
โขย ย ย ย Assists with drafting comprehensive plans for deploying federal funds across eligible initiatives
โขย ย ย ย Collaborates with team members to recommend approval, denial, or conditional approval decisions
โขย ย ย ย Drafts and maintains program policies, procedures, and guidance documentation
โขย ย ย ย Prepares training materials and deliver training sessions for applicants and funded recipients
โขย ย ย ย Provides technical assistance and communicates eligible and ineligible costs using program rules
โขย ย ย ย Produces real-time status reports and transparency content for public-facing reporting tools
โขย ย ย ย Applies internal control concepts to identify compliance risks and control gaps
โขย ย ย ย Supports responses to oversight, monitoring, audits, and records requests from government entities
โขย ย ย ย Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
โขย ย ย ย Bachelorโs degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, or Law, required
โขย ย ย ย Masterโs degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, or Law, preferred
Experience:
โขย ย ย ย Three (3) years to five (5) years of experience in a professional office setting, required
โขย ย ย ย Experience in federal grant administration and compliance, preferred
License/Certifications:
โขย ย ย ย Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS), preferred
โขย ย ย ย Project Management Professional (PMP), preferred
Software:
โขย ย ย ย Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, required
โขย ย ย ย Experience with SharePoint or similar document management system, preferred
โขย ย ย ย Experience with grant management systems, preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
โขย ย ย ย Demonstrated knowledge of federal grant compliance concepts, documentation standards, and record retention practices
โขย ย ย ย Ability to interpret written regulations, policies, and procedures and translate requirements into clear guidance

โขย ย ย ย Ability to independently research federal guidance and apply findings to documented decisions
