Name of the contract position: IEEE India Philanthropy Officer
Duration: 18 Months
Location: Based out of Bangalore, but required to travel to project locations across India
Salary\: Depending on the exposure to social projects and years of experienceΒ Β
The Job role includes
- Overall project management across the states of the assigned project and ensure the following activity in the field
- Mapping of villages, Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEβs) / Village level technicians, internal and external stakeholders
- Providing role clarity to the different stakeholders engaged in the project
- Coordinating and conducting training and capacity building of VLEβs and Village level technicians
- Ensuring access to appropriate services and products to the villages and VLEβs
- Mentoring and support to ensure the functioning of the VLEβs at the panchayat level
- Promoting internet awareness and internet usage among the villagers, especially among women and children
- Quality assurance support for the VLEβs / VLTβs to ensure effective functioning, scale and sustainability
- Continuous Monitoring and Evaluation, and documentation of learning from the project
- Support impact measurement of the project with the hired consultant or organization
- Field-level coordination with the IIP coordinators, partners, IEEE members, volunteers, and internal and external stakeholders
- Coordination of the overall activities related to the project to ensure the outputs, outcomes, and impact
- Organise state-level field visits in coordination with the project staff, IEEE members, volunteers and local organizations
- Any other assigned job by IEEE India Philanthropy
Education background and Skills\:
- Post graduation with 5-6 years of experience working for social issues
- Willing to travel extensively within the project locationsΒ
- Willing to work with a not-for-profit entity exclusively to promote the internet and technology for humanity
- Good written and communication skills in English. Kannada, Tamil and Hindi, are desirable, proficient in any two local languages will be an advantage.
ReportingΒ The position will be reporting directly to IEEE India Philanthropy ManagerΒ
