Job Description
The Desert Research Institute (DRI) is recruiting for a Cloud Services and Systems Administrator Reporting directly to DRI's Director of Cyberinfrastructure. This position is responsible for supporting and improving the technical and operational performance of DRI's Cloud instances (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services (M365/Office365). The successful candidate will also have experience with Linux and Windows servers (physical and virtual), running scientific and business applications, virtualization workloads, enterprise backup utilities, web and file servers, databases, and various specialty systems (HPC). This position will work closely with DRI's cybersecurity team to ensure that all servers and applications meet security best practices and function optimally in DRI's segmented network environment. This in-person position is based at DRI's campus in Reno, Nevada.

This is an Administrative Faculty Range C position with a minimum annual starting salary of $87,000 and is competitive and commensurate with education, experience, and aligns with similar public academic research institutions. DRI offers a benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, the choice of three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, a 19.25% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, and educational benefits. Additionally, there is no state income tax and no social security deduction.
