SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for ensuring Vibrant Health has a comprehensive fundraising strategy that positions it as an essential community resource, a leader in its field, and a worthy investment for potential supporters. The Director will build upon the strategy for fundraising and development to grow and build relationships with supporters of Vibrant Health. Β This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is interested in joining innovative professionals providing a critical service in our community. Β This position will have oversight of individual and corporate giving as well as special events.Β

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Works to grow and build upon the current fundraising plan and program.
  • Lead donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition initiatives across funding streams including grants, major gifts, sponsorships, and individual giving.
  • Lead planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Oversee donor database management and ensure timely acknowledgments and reporting.
  • Plans and executes a donor communication and solicitation plan with an emphasis on stewardship, accountability and creating a rewarding experience for donors at all levels.
  • Develops and manages a portfolio of high impact individual, corporate and foundation donors.
  • Ensures a high level of service for all donors and donor opportunities, including timely and accurate gift acknowledgment.
  • Develop and implement a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper ties with donors.
  • Develops structured analytics and reports to monitor and manage fundraising performance and routinely reports on same; manages fundraising software system and donor database.
  • Integrates ongoing prospect research and identification into regular operations and oversees the fulfillment of research requests to support major gifts.
  • Analyze donor trends to support the creation of reliable future revenue growth forecast.
  • Oversees continuous process improvement to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the fundraising program.
  • Remains current on best practices and implements new methods for fundraising.
  • Carries out Vibrant Health’s mission: To provide access to respectful, empowering, culturally sensitive and appropriate high-quality health care for the community, regardless of socio-economic obstacles.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proven record of success implementing donor-centered strategies and cultivating sustainable revenue growth over time
  • Familiarity with a range of giving vehicles including annual giving, fundraising events, major capital and planned gifts, sponsorship and marketing partnerships
  • Results-oriented, motivated to meet or exceed individual and shared goals by carefully monitoring progress and demonstrating accountability through problem/resolution approach
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail in order to produce the highest quality work, including follow up and follow through with process improvement philosophy
  • Strong communications capabilities, both verbal and written, including grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Able to lead and inspire others and accurately represent Vibrant Health’s mission and values
  • Demonstrates genuine interest in people and exhibits superior interpersonal skills while cultivating empathy
  • Able to take risks and challenge the status quo
  • Strong analytical skills: able to interpret and compare data to form meaningful insights
  • Donor database management system, Microsoft Suite experience.
