The Grant Coordinator is a highly collaborative role based in the Finance Department that will work directly with staff in various departments of the Town to identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities, as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals and applications to federal, state, local (county), and private funding agencies. Subsequent grant management is expected if the application is successful. The position is also responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on the performance of program activities to funding entities, KPIs, etc., as required.


The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Has exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple overlapping grant cycles and reporting windows.Β 
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of experience as a grant writer, including a proven record of researching, writing, and securing major grants.
  • Has the ability to translate complex municipal data into compelling grant narratives.
  • Has a portfolio showing successfully funded projects at the state, federal, and local level.
  • Has a familiarity with government-specific systems and public sector procurement rules.
  • Has demonstrated expertise in developing and managing complex grant budgets and a thorough understanding of reporting, auditing, and closeout deadlines. Β
