THE POSITIONΒ 
Β 

TheΒ PhysiciansΒ report to theΒ Chief Medical OfficerΒ andΒ areΒ responsible for managingΒ patientsΒ individualizedΒ health plan toΒ promoteΒ and restoreΒ patients' health. Β This includesΒ diagnosingΒ and counselingΒ patientsΒ on their current medical condition, settingΒ up an effective treatment plan, educatingΒ patients on preventative health measures, andΒ encourageΒ annualΒ and semi-annualΒ physicals.Β

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list may not includeΒ all of the duties assigned.)Β Β 

Β 

  • Meet with patients to assess their symptoms; inquire into the nature of their illness or injury.
  • Accurately identify and diagnose medical conditions.
  • Thoroughly examine patients and attend to their chief complaint.Β 
  • Answer and advise on any other questions or concerns the patient might have.Β 
  • Assign appropriate treatment plan according to each patient’s needsΒ 
  • Educate and inform patient of necessary treatment plan and any follow-up appointments.Β 
  • Perform clinical tests to better inform diagnosis.
  • Perform in-office treatment if possible.
  • Look for anything unusual or abnormal.
  • Prescribe appropriate medicines or therapy.
  • Calculate correct medication dosage for each patient and educate on proper use.Β 
  • Order outside diagnostic tests and lab work as needed (blood/urine test, tissue samples, imagery, etc.).Β 
  • Analyze and share results of diagnostic testing with patient.Β 
  • Continually chart and maintain patient information on paper and in computer system.Β 
  • Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition and progress.Β 
  • Refer patient to a medical specialist when needed.Β 
  • Maintain confidentiality and always work with respect and integrity.Β 
  • Encourage preventative health measures including proper diet, rest and exercise.Β 
  • Direct, train, and supervise medical staff including nurses, physician assistants,Β nurse practitioners,Β and med techs on proper procedures and protocol.Β 
  • Attend conferences and continue research inΒ your fieldΒ 
  • Other duties may be assigned, as required.Β 


QUALIFICATIONS:Β 

  • Doctorate in Medicine (M.D. or D.O.)Β 
  • Valid license to practice; board certifiedΒ 
  • 2+ years practicing medicine in hospital or private practiceΒ 
  • Adept at diagnosing problems and creating treatment plans for patientsΒ 
  • Highly computer literate and familiar with chartingΒ 
  • Excels in communicating sensitive and/or adverse informationΒ 
  • Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilitiesΒ 
  • Analytical thinker and complex problem-solverΒ 
  • Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPPA and OSHA.Β Β 
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.Β 
  • Experience in the HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and chronic diseases care/ management preferred.Β 
  • Basic knowledge of other infectious diseases and state/ federal reporting requirements.Β 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of effects of psychosocial needs, trauma history, and cognitive/behavioral/motivational functioning on health-related behavior and exhibit ability to intervene appropriately and effectively.Β 
  • Have the appropriate level of behavioral maturity and patience in handlingΒ a variety ofΒ patientΒ types and needs.Β 
  • Have diplomacy and tact in handling difficult and irate patients.Β 
  • Ability to work effectively with men and transgender women of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, and sexual orientation in a multicultural environment.Β Β

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS:Β 

  • Must be able to pass aΒ pre-employment drug test andΒ background check to include a 7-year criminal, 10-year SSN & employer history reference check Β 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.Β 
  • Attention to detail.Β 
  • Must be able to work flexible schedulesΒ 
  • Must take yearly flu shotΒ or wear mask during flu seasonΒ and test for tuberculosis as required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
