This specialist position will join a teamΒ responsible for driving philanthropic revenue by building and stewarding strong relationships with individual donors and Trusts and Foundations, as well asΒ identifyingΒ and qualifying prospective major supporters.Β 

Managing a portfolio ofΒ majorΒ supporters, you will oversee end-to-end relationship management, including cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and associated reporting and administration.Β 

Your role will also have dual responsibility toΒ research, write and deliver high-quality funding proposals,Β acquittalsΒ and impact reports,Β for the philanthropy team toΒ supportΒ strong major and institutional fundraising outcomes.Β

As a donor-facing fundraiser, you will be confident in engaging with major donors and motivated by achieving significant growth targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team with strong momentum. Having raised more than $26 million through philanthropy inΒ 2025, theΒ entire fundraisingΒ team is now building its capability to accelerate results and deliver on an ambitious six-year fundraising strategy targeting $1 billion.Β  Accountabilities include:

  • Deliver fundraising, philanthropy and engagement outcomes aligned with MSF’s mission and strategic objectivesΒ 
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth donors, progressing relationships through the major gift pipelineΒ 
  • Build trusted, long-term donor relationships through personalised cultivation,Β solicitationΒ and stewardshipΒ 
  • Identify,Β researchΒ and engage new major donor prospects to expand the donor baseΒ 
  • Develop high-quality funding proposals, acquittals and impact reports tailored to donor interestsΒ 
  • Collaborate with the Philanthropy Manager – Major Giving and the wider team on strategy, campaigns and engagement across Australia and New ZealandΒ 
  • Ensure all fundraising activities meet ethical, legal and data protection requirementsΒ 
  • ProvideΒ accurateΒ reporting and insights to support portfolio performance and continuous improvementΒ
