Summaryย 

The role of the Research Grant Coordinator is to lead the INNU Innovations in Nutrition Programs and Services grant. The grant is evaluating the impact and sustainability of enhanced home-delivered meal program services on older adults, health and well-being.

ย ย 

This is a full-time salaried position for 35 hours per week; Monday through Friday with the core hours of 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.


ย This is a grant funded position that ends on April 30, 2028, with the possibility for extension based on available funds. ย 

Requirements

ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesย 

  • Lead the implementation of project activities identified in the work planย 
  • Assume the day-to-day responsibility of achieving objectives and outcomesย 
  • Supervise the Research Grant Assistant/Community Health Workerย 
  • Identify and recruit participants from the target population into the research projectย 
  • Input information into a customer relationship management (CRM)ย 
  • Implement community health worker intervention to address gaps in socialization and health and well-being for home-delivered meal participants (e.g. assess participants for medical, social and safety needs; support the navigation of systems, offer education and support)ย 
  • Assist with the shelf-stable food bag intervention to address nutrition gaps for home-delivered meal participantsย 
  • Ensure equitable approaches to reach the target populationย 
  • Collect data from home-delivered meal participants to determine measurable outcomesย 
  • Participate in regular technical assistance calls and attend regular meetings with the study teamย 
  • Participate in team meetingsย 
  • Engage in community health work trainings and professional development opportunitiesย 
  • Other duties as assignedย 

Education and Experienceย 

  • Certified Community Health Worker or ability to obtain certificationย 
  • 3-5 years of experience in a professional settingย 
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred or equivalent advanced education/training or experience requiredย 
  • Experience working with older adults, preferredย 
  • Bilingual/Spanish speaking, preferredย ย ย

Work Environmentย 

Work is performed inย aย building.ย The noise level in the work environment is usuallyย moderate,ย and the environment is sometimesย fast paced. Protocol for safety and security is a priority.ย Occasional work after normal business hours.ย Must be able to drive to other locations such as externalย meetings,ย within the state.ย 


Physical Demandsย 

While performing the duties of this job, theย team memberย is regularly required toย stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands; balance, stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk or hear.
